What is that effect?

Ive been listening to this band called Chronic Future... pretty cool stuff if you haven't heard it before. Anyways, the guy who does their keyboards/programming has an effect that he uses over and over and I am just curious if anyone out there could tell me what it is he's using to do it. I know that he uses Pro Tools and does all of his sequencing with Reason. Here is a link to the page:
http://www.chronicfuture.com/media/media.html#
From there, listen to the song called 'Insects' (#2 under the Song of the Week section), for a good example of what im talking about. Its the kind of 'zipping' effect that is going on all over the place... you'll know what I mean when you hear it. Is this something he's doing within Reason, or is it a Pro Tools plug in of some sort?

Listenng in mono on my shite PC, i think you're asking about the 'cut up' stuff. I've always done that sort of thing by hand in PT. Cut a few ms here, a few samples there, cut and paste like mad, pan like a MF. No fades, hard edges everywhere. That's the sound you're looking for?

Nice tune.
