Pro Tools 8 = IE8 problem fixed?

Words can't describe how angry I was when I found out Windows XP3 and Pro Tools 7.4 can't work because of bloody IE8 (THE WORLDS MOST UNISTALLABLE PROGRAM).. and trust me i've tried everything to get rid of it.

Does anyone know if the problem is fixed with the new PT?

ironically I didn't even want 7.4 but I had to buy it to make it work with Vista, and now Im backdating, 7.4 doesn't work.

rant over!

help!

No, the problem lies with Pro Tools 8 as well.

However, it should be hard to remove IE8 at all. Have you tried going to add/remove programs > add/remove windows components?

Should that fail, have you tried just installing IE7 over the current installation?
