Help finding a cool guitar shop in Queens...

More specifically, Astoria.

Just moved into Astoria and am trying to find a vibey little musical instrument place, so that I don't have to go to the Sam Ash close to Times Square everytime I need a guitar gear fix.

Ideas? Suggestions?

good luck.

been is astoria for 6 years and still have to go to rudy's repair (48th/broadway)or 30th st guitars (btw 7th and 8th av)....

i've seen nothing decent around here....just those crappy little places with a couple of rusty guitar strings under the counter. and guitar center. i refuse to go there.

astoria is a great hood tho......it IS the hood. but only if you're greek.......

Without a doubt, go straight to Matt at 30th St. Guitars. Every other guitar shop in NYC pales in comparison. Top notch service and repairs and NEVER any hassle or attitude.

Just outside of queens in New Hyde Park there is the American Guitar Museum.
There are some very cool guitars there. Chris the owner does really nice work.
Also in Floral Park Joe Pichkur is another really good guitar guy. Otherwise go into town

Thanks for all the info. Guitar shop or no guitar shop, Astoria still rocks.
