Thread Starter | Soffit mounted Speaker Suggestions
Hi guys im not looking to spend 3-4k right now just want to know what i can get on the cheap the slot size is 16inx24in. Just looking for speaker suggestions i already saw some 813's they're a bit much... any others? Thanks!!

UREI 813s were the later progression of Altec Big Reds. Both were one of the standards for soffit mounted speakers. Other standards in the U.S. were the Augspurger designed TAD / JBL / White monitoring rigs. I once had some soffit mounted Tannoy SGM1000s that sounded pretty nice. I now have a pair of UREI 809s, but they sit on the meterbridge of my console. It is a bit close in, but it works if you roll back in the chair a few inches! |
