PLug ins? Aphex or BBE

Hi which Plug In do you think sounds better? Aphex or BBE

I may need to buy a plug in to use it occassionaly to give a touch of sheen an openess to muddy dark sources.

Neither are really that great. Honestly, to make something less muddy, I'd just use some nice EQ.
