SSL Duende Channel Compressor

I have enjoyed my Duende PCIe. I love the channel strip aspect of it, having combined EQ and compression together in a single plug. Further, I like the EQ and the seeming clarity of it.

On the comp, I find it does well for slight taming on dynamics. Outside of that, it gets pumpy, real fast. I also noticed no seeming color when it gets that way.

Am I off, can you help me understand this tool a bot better and the uses it is best on?

The Buss Comp simply rocks.

thanks
Rob

I really like that channel strip. I'm still a firm believer in giving it a handful of presets though, I rarely start from a default setup but I still do only on certain applications. Having that would really help out a lot getting started and finding appropriate setups. But your right, there's no color on this one's compressor.

Thinking of getting the Mini just for the Buss Comp. Is it worth it? I use PT8 HD.
Does it have color as well? How close is it to the Actual unit. Also, how much is the plugin itself as it does not come with the mini?

Thanx
