Thread Starter | Help, So Many Questions, So little time.
So that's kind of an exaggeration... I have some time. So I'm in a huge conundrum here. I've search the forum for posts and have found SIMILAR but not really getting the answer I'm looking for. The first is towards Logic users. ------ In your time using Logic have you found that isolated yourself from the rest of the music world by using Logic and not Pro Tools? Run into any problems? The rest are some more general questions Here's where I stand, at a crossroads, beginning my Home Recording Career. Logic and the Duet(or another interface, open to suggestions) OR Pro Tools LE (or M-Powered... if i could get a straight answer about the damn difference Just looking to collect some opinions far and wide. Again, i know there have been a few forums SIMILAR, but none have really given me any answers. If I wouldn't be isolating myself from the rest of the Pro Tools acclimated music world by using Logic then I think it would be a clear choice for me. But once again I am Open to Suggestions. Thanks. P.s. I plan to record everything from just Vocal and Acoustic guitar to Vox,Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano etc etc. All different genres. |

you haven't found trouble when going to another studio or another instance where you have to somehow get your Logic files to Pro Tools?

I'm a PT guy...but Logic is a killer program particurly if you tend to compose moreso than record and mix. Not that you can't do either in either, but they each have their strengths. And you should primarilty work in the one that you like best. There are many folks that prefer Logic, you are far from alone. As far as moving from place to place and importing it a very simple process to either render and export or use OMF. I just sent 8 songs to a Cubase guy in Nashville. No issues. This stuff has sorted out over time. Isolation is old news. |
