Which sub for adam s3a?

Please let me know which sub you have good experience with. (sub + s3a.)
8`, 10`or 12`?
My room is very tight. On low volume / mix volume the s3a has enough bottom for me but when turning up the volume the bass is quite thin. Not much to impress a client...-. I did not buy them for that but I do not have other monitors at the moment. Sold my big Dynaudio m2 with lots of bottom but I did not like them much.
Thanks for advice.

The S3a claims -3 dB at 32 Hz. This is plenty low! I'll guess what you really need is bass traps. How big is your room, and where are you sitting in relation to the rear wall behind you?

My room is 16 feet wide x 18.5 feet long. I am sitting approx 9 feet from the rear wall which is a 5`x 8.5`diffusor . The whole room is floating and designed by a proff studio constructor. I also had the room measured and there should be nothing wrong with the room according to the acousticer(!). Unless something new comes up? But there is surprisingly little bass / low freq from the s3a in this room turning up the volume a bit. On "normal" mixing volume the s3a is working very clear and well. Don\t need big bass in this setting.

Well there's one big problem. You're right near the middle of the room front-to-back, and the bass always has a drop-out there.

If you can post the measurements here I'll probably have some useful comments.

Room acoustics are linear, so whatever happens at low levels also happens at high levels. I'm sure this is a room-related problem, but without more info it's tough to guess. Do you have any bass traps at all? And can you post a photo of your setup? Best is to stand at the rear of the room and take a picture toward the front so I can see your loudspeakers and seat.

I've measured my S3-A's with Smaart, and they may go down to 32 hz but they far more than 3db down in my (treated) room. I added a 10" sub to give a little push from 55-60hz on down, and I'm happy with it. I love mixing softly on them now, since I can get a sense of the low bass even at low volumes.

Time alignment appears to be critical though and despite trying a lot of sub positions I'm not convinced my setup is as punchy as it could be.

"Drop-out". You are right...I have noticed this. Maybe not "drop-out" but less bass in the middle where I am sitting. Turning monitors vertical gives a little more bass but not very much.

I will try to get measurements as a diagram for posting.

Bass traps.....there are acoustic construction in the walls on both sides in the front and in the angeled walls in the front end of the room. I try to post a photo.
