Does this work for tracking a band? (POD for monitoring + DI for reamping)

Is this a possible way of tracking a band live in the studio?

This band is a trio with a guitarist/singer and I was going to record everyone in the same room. Bass and guitar direct, monitoring guitar through POD. Reamp the guitar and bass later and overdub vocals.

Why? It's not a studio, it's a rehearsal space that I'll be treating as best I can. This plan seems to provide live interaction, tracking convenience and mixing flexibility.

plenty of people work like that. Just depends on keeping the band happy - if you're making the comprimise of recording in a rehearsal space already, I'd have thought they'd be willing to do whatever they can to get a good result.

Yeah that's pretty much how I work.

I record the drum with either a guitar or a bass through a POD for monitoring, I could record a bass with DI too at the same time.

I didn't reamp the guitar track up to now though, I just got my reamp.
I might do that in the future though.
