Drum Dial..? anyone use it........? will it allow drum tuning idiot to tune? thanks in advance |

I've done a fair amount of touring drum tech work, and found drum dials helpful in speeding up the process... but, there is a certain amount of feel that you have to use in getting a drum tuned that the dial doesn't necessarily do. The fact remains that tuning drums is pretty hard... and the drum dial is a tool to help, but not really "The Answer." My hint for the dial: Go around all the lugs at least twice, loosening and then re-tightening each of them to get a better balance of tension between lugs. Cheers, CJ | |
