cant get vocalign to work right.

SO i put it on my guide track and set the side chain insert to the doubled track thats pretty much lined up, click capture then edit but it sounds phasey and slows down a bit?

How do I get this to work correctly?

are you trying to do the whole track all at once? if so that could be your problem. I've found that you have to vocalign a track in pieces like one phrase at a time or sometimes even one word at a time. if one vocal is way, way off the other moving it by hand closer to the one you want to copy helps but should maybe be performed better is possible. vocalign makes it a little easier to line up two vocals but it still takes some work if it's only a lead and one stack I usually line them up by hand if it's stacks and stacks of vocals then after the first stack I'll use vocalign to speed up the process a bit.
