Thread Starter | Where in LA to listen to a range of studio monitors Hi, I want to listen to a broad range of studio monitors when I'm in LA next week. Where's the best store/outlet to do this? Ideally somewhere in the Hollywood or west LA area but I'm open to travelling farther afield if the selection is worth it. Thanks! |

| RSPE RSPE Audio Solutions - Digidesign ICON Specialists - Los Angeles - RSPE Home in studio city or Westlake Professional Audio Sales Both of those places cater to the high end and can set up a fairly proper demo. ~Jay

| Gear nut | It's difficult to tell you where you should go to listen to monitors in LA if you don't realy specify what type and what range. Two places that I have been happy with their selection are: RSPE (High and Low Priced, Genelec, Adams, Focals, JBL's and others) Good Listening room, and private. and belive it or not The Hollywood Guitar Center, great little iso room with Icons and SSL's with a pretty good pro monitor selection. in West LA you might want to give West LA Music a shot. I remember thinking there show room was nice but can't remember how great of a listening enviroment it was. I do all my shoping at RSPE and have been really happy with their selection. I am sure someone will chime in a tell you about the Mecca, but these were the places I went to when I was shopping for Monitors. And I listened for hours at RSPE and bought a pair of Adam S3A's.
