How do push that transformer in the Bock 195?

There's got to be some way to get that big, fat transformer in the Bock 195 to start smearing!!!! Any experience to share?!?

LOL!!!!

thats funny, I own a Bock !95 and I like it quite a bit but Its my only decent mic so a Pearlman is sounding right up my street these days.

You could modify the internal electronics for more gain.

Seems like a different mic pre would easier to hit hard...
I would not mod the mic, IMHO..

Push a good transformer preamp after it. The 195 has such a unique clarity about it, I would be hesitant to try and mess with its sound by tinkering!

You use a better/larger transformer so it is HARDER to saturate the transformer..
