Tascam M-35 mixer--info/manuals, anyone?

I was just given an early 80's Tascam M-35 mixer (8x4x2) which seems to be in working condition, minus the VU meter lights.

Does anyone have any ifo on this? I've googled and found only one or two margianlly useful tidbits.

Anyone have a user's manual?

How are the preamps in it? I'm moving my studio so I can't really test anything.

How does the direct out works???
Because mine does not work??
