Heat issue G5

My G5 2GHZ is too hot. Are the new liquid cooled models cooler (acutally release less heat into the air?)

Newton's first law of thermodynamics (simplified here) states that all energy in a system can be accounted for, that energy cannot be created or lost. This means that if the liquid cooling of the newer G5 is more efficient, then it will dissapate more heat from the processor into the air.

You and Newton are right. Thanks for the response - other owners have confirmed this. The liquid cooled models do work better and therefore push more heat out.
