Focal twin 6 Be won't power on

Just got a pair of focal twins and one of them doesn't work. It's not my setup. It just won't power on. Damn it, this sucks. The other one works fine. Has anyone had a similar experience by any chance? I hope it's an easy fix whatever the problem is. Sheesh, what a let down.

It could be a bad fuse. They should ship with replacement fuses. Mine did.

I had a fuse problem with the two of them, after about a year of use... just replaced them and it was all good.

Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully, it's just the fuse.

Hey, can you use any 3.15A rated fuse as a replacement? If you did it yourself, is it just a matter of popping off the back and making a simple switch? Any soldering involved? I'd rather do it myself if it's a simple process... do you mind elaborating? Thanks!

Use a flathead screwdriver and turn the fuseholder a quarter turn. The fuse 'll pop out - takes less than 10 seconds

Thanks. Yeah, it's not the fuse. Any other suggestions as to what the problem might be? I know this is stabbing out at the dark without a lot of info, but I really don't have any options other than to try and fix it myself. I'm the second owner and I'm not covered under the original warranty.

I would get in touch with Focal. Just because it's not under warranty doesn't necessarily mean that they won't help you.

My guess is that it's the power supply. If Focal cannot help you then take it to a place that specializes in fixing audio-related electronics. Chances are it's nothing major. If it were something major, you would know (like an electrical fire or something). Even if the repairs cost you a couple hundred bucks, you can move on and get back to doing music.

You said you just got them. Did you confront the person who you just recently bought them from? I would.
