Future Retro 777 & XS

Firstly thanks to everyone that keeps posting to help inform me. Sorry for all the constant switching of gear considerations. I've been looking into future retro stuff after reading about the XS on here and the demo's seem awesome!I'm really would like to be able to do the whle 303 thing but want a much more diverse array of sounds available to me for bass, leads, and fx. Wondering if the 777 or the XS is the way to go? So far I've been considering Vermona Perfourmer, SCI pro one, moog prodigy and ms-20 BUT Future Retro stuff looks good.

Thanks,
Pete

777 just went for 930 GBP + Shipping today. Might as well get a new XS, it'll probably offer more versatility anaway.

Well, 303 with more versatility is the 777... it has the filter, the sequencer, and offers more than any other 303 clone. Sure, the 777 goes for as much as the XS, but it is no longer made and has a built in sequencer. Only 777 were made as well.

That said, the XS is a different beast. It is not a 303 clone...it is more like the other synths you are looking at.

I think perhap the XS would be a better choice in terms of range of sounds and then I can save for more specific sounding instruments.
