Thread Starter | ULTRASONE HFI-700 vs. ATH-M50 Headphones for tracking/mixing?
Hi All, Which of these would you recommend for mixing/tracking? I have a pair of MDR-7506. I'm looking for some more accurate/less hyped phones (for pre-mixing) and better isolation for vocal tracking. Thanks! Tom |

| I have both. The AT is more comfortable and has better isolation, but the Ultrasones are more accurate and detailed. For artists tracking the AT's would probably work better. They're great in the midrange. The Ultrasones are tighter in the lows and extend further both up and down the spectrum.

I am thinking about the HFI series because the PRO's are a little too pricey. Both would give better isolation than the Sonys, right?

Sound-wise, though, the Ultrasone is hands down winner.
