Love it. Similar to a 4050, which I also like a lot. Nicer top end (a little smoother-sounding, less clinical) and similar, otherwise. I've gotten to hear it on acoustic guitar, male vocals, and in front of a drumkit as a mono kit mic. I imagine it would do equally well in a large variety of applications, like the 4050.

JUst used it recently on a marshall 4x12 for metal guitars, I was sceptical of the choice, but it sounded really good and now I want one.

Hi

I have a pair, really nice and detailed mics; top end is really defined, I used them with great results on piano, drums OHs, ac guitars; I don't particulary like them on strings (a bit too much detail, higher register strings like cello and viola or violin get too strident, double bass can sometimes work but be careful with placement) or vocals; if you have a really bassy sounding male vocal then you may get away with a 4040, but otherwise I'd use a different mic. However, for the applications I listed they really shine.

Hope this helps
