mix buss plugin compression

Hi,

I demoed the UAD precision buss compressor recently and really liked what it did to the sound when I strapped it to the mix buss and shaved off a db or two. I got a new project and think it would benefit with a compressor on the mix buss. Wish I could afford some hardware but that’s not gonna happen at this point. The precision is even a bit pricey
at this time for me. My question is are their any decent compressor plug-ins I can
Strap on the mix buss and get good results with at a decent price(0-$100) that aren’t part
of some bundle package. If not I will just buy the UAD and tell the wife she
Is gonna have to eat mac and cheese for the next week.

Thanks,
Alex

massey

Not realy a "buss" comp, but for less than 100$, I think the Massey CT4 would be my choice. Sometimes it realy works well on the mix buss, plus you get a nice comp that can be used on any other source...

You can demo it for free too, no time limit...

Stillwell Major Tom! I had success with it, why not you.

Use RMS detection and softknee and about 2 db GR.

Nice musical sounding unit!

PS: and the demo doesn't expire. Your wife will have mac and cheese only once a week.
