Urrgent advice- Yamaha C3 or G5 Piano?

Hi all- looking at purchasing a 1989 C3 Yamaha for my studio.

Is there any significant reason to not purchase this model but to get a later model for structural engineering design reasons?

Also - I could get a refurbished Yamaha G5 for a little less- which is the better option for recording jazz/blues etc? The G5 is a tad bigger no?

Also- what is a fair price for such pianos?

Cheers and thanks

Isn't the C3 the short model. If so keep in mind that the shorter the strings, the less rich the sound. Fine for demos and back round pop-rock stuff, but that's not really the sound that you'd often want up front. A U3 (upright has longer strings).
