Thread Starter | How to protect your material? When you star selling , sharing , material what's the best way to protect your stuff? How do your copyright your stage name? |

| You copyright your songs either with Form PA or Form SR through the Library Of Congress. Google it for the web address. You would trademark a band name or stage name. You'll need an attorney for that, preferably one who specializes in trademark law. Good luck!!

| Lives for gear | i have sent myslef a cd in the mail before. Then not opened it and stored it someplace safe. IF its not opened and postmarked on a certain date, that should be enugh proof that you wrote the song befoer a certain date. I also feel that if you recorded it yourself, you have proof that its your tune on your DAW, or hard drive, whatever. But i could be totally wrong. |
