Sonic Core A16 ultra AD/DA

Just found it here and the price looks really good to me.
I am running a Digi001 based system on my G4, but planning to buy a mix24 system.
Heard a lot of bad stuff about 888 converters, so wanted to find something different

They are a lot of converter channels for the money, and the sound is certainly acceptable and above and beyond what you expect.

Is it a Lynx? No, not by any stretch.

It is good though, I ran this converter for a while with an RME Digiface and it was always reliable and did a good job.

Not bad for the $$. Mine is the Creamware A16. I know they changed names last year at some point. Haven't had any problems with it all and it sounds pretty good.

Drastic, it was simply a new paint job and new name. The performance didn't change, so your comments are the exact same converter.
