Control 24 monitor section noise?

Anyone every have white noise start appearing in their control room section of a control 24? Its doesn't show up every where on the board as the pres don't make noise. Any advice would be nice. Or maybe a number to someone who can fix it in South CA. Thanks.

I used to work with one and it regularly made that type of noise. I had to turn it off and on for it to go away.

Anyway to fix it? This isn't working with just turning off and on.

I had a Control24 and used a external monitorcontroller because the units monitorsection is not good, too much problems with it, and its a known problem. I love the desk with all its faders and shortcuts though.

They are notorious for this but it can be fixed. At least we were able to fix ours. One thing is to email Digidesign tech support. They told me to open up the board. You have to unscrew just about all the screws on the back. It seemed best to do this by turning it upside down.
Disconnect every connection you can get to and use something like deoxit to clean and then condition the connectors. Some have glue on them but we broke the glue. Make sure to get the ones to the power supply.
It worked for us. We had intermittent noise on one of the main control room monitor volumes. It fixed it. Then we had some dim lights on different areas on the console. Did it again, this was 2 years later and it fixed it again.

Good Luck Todd

You should get rid off the Control section of the c 24 as fast as possible. It sucks big time.
The prosonus for example is way better.
