MPC 3000 external hard drive question

I would like to get an external scsi hard drive to hook up via scsi my MPC3000 to save my midi sequences,programs, ect, instead of on floppy disk and i was wondering how much memory can the mpc 3000 read and use from a external hard drive? I just dont want to buy a 1GB hard drive if he MPC3000 can only read and register 512MB or something along that lines.

Also what would be a good drive model to get for the MPC3000? Im looking for a drive as big as the MPC3000 can read.

I still have 2 MPC-3000s. Maybe a little hard to find these days but an Iomega 100mg or 250mg removable SCSI zip drive worked best for my needs.

I had a 9 gig drive connected to it once. It worked fine, but you can only
partition the drive so much, and each partition can only hold a certain
amount of files. I can remember how many, but for some reason I want
to say like 128 different files?

Not really worth it. I bought 2 external drives on e-bay, and I still
ended up going back to my 250mb I-Omega zips...

Hey Kesadiq, i can scsi chain a 250mb to a 100mb on the MPC3000 right? So i'll have a 100mb zip drive for loading samples and a 250mb zip drive for saving sequences and programs ect. Can this be done? I already have a 100mb zip.
