Thread Starter | Any alternative to the Nord Electro series?
I like the electros for their electronic sounds, and Nord makes great products. Unfortunately, Nord is lacking one important thing - they couldn't make a decent piano multisample if their lives depended on it. I was embarrassed FOR them when I heard their Stage Piano. I thought it was going to be my all-in-one keyboard solution for gigs. Instead, it made me want to cry like a little girl. The Electro 3, with its expanded sampling capabilities and memory had me excited for a moment, until I downloaded the software you need to use to create and load in custom multisamples. Perhaps I'm just spoiled, but I haven't seen such an archaic interface on a piece of pro music software in over 10 years. The complete lack of manual for it doesn't help, either. This app was clearly thrown together as an afterthought. So... anybody know of decent alternatives to the Nord line? I can't be the only one who's had to contend with this. |
