Multi-purpose DI/Pre

Perhaps someone on here can assist me yet again.

I'm looking for a good multi-purpose DI/Pre either dual-channeled or single-channeled, something that I can use as a work horse that I could hopefully record everything from vocals, guitars, acoustic instruments, to bass though. Something that can be tweaked for a deep and thick bass tone, or clear uncolored vocals, or a wide acoustic guitar sound. Just a device that serves as something as close to an all-in-one that I can get.

I may be asking for miracles, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

A Great River ME-1NV would be hard to go past for those tasks......

Buzz Elixir is one of the best if you want to go 500 series.

UAD 710/610/110, ISA One, Groove Tubes Brick, FMR RNP.

As for bass thickness...you may want to add an overdrive pedal or tweak your EQ. The 710 is adjustable between clean solid state and tube warmth, so I'll look there first.

I'm sure there are a few units out there that would fit the bill... but, with the tweak-ability you are asking for, it would be good to find a unit with a simple EQ of some sort on it. That way you can add a little extra lows on bass or some mids on guitar... maybe add a little top on vocals, etc. One unit that comes to mind is the Aurora Audio GTQ2, which would be a great all purpose dual channel mic pre/ EQ with the Class-A Neve character.
