| Difference between Rated Impedance & Rated Load Impedance? Hi everybody. I've got a question about microphones. Whats the difference between Rated Impedance & Rated Load Impedance? I've got a mic that has Rated Impedance = 50 Ohms and Rated Load Impedance = 1000 Ohms. And I've got a mic pre-amp with selectable impedances. Which one should I take as reference to use correctly the mic & the pre-amp? Thanx. Saludos. |

| Most "modern" mics need to be loaded into a preamp with an input impedance that is considerably higher than the output impedance of the microphone. Hence, in the case you mention, set the preamp to a value close to 1000 Ohms. Bri |
