What makes that sound? Rosetta Stoned - 10,000 Days - Tool

It's been really bugging me - I know I recognize it from somewhere else (though I can't place where I heard it before)

Does anyone know what is making that synth sound around 1:09???

It's around 1:15ish?... I think its probably another Tool track, but it could also be a melody on another track on the CD?

I've always thought that just sounded cool, never really placed it anywhere else! sorry

awesomeness = brain melt - possibly...

it's played on the downbeat - throughout the section from about 1min 9secs onwards
filter sounds big and fat - so I am guessing an American synth - perhaps an Oberheim?
probably just a sample been fired off by someone these days I guess

I am wondering if it was late 70s/early 80s Rush I heard it on - might just have to dust off those albums and give them another play...
