SOLVED - bizarre audio artifact from Peluso mic

Yo slutz:

I'd been demoing mics last weekend and noticed this odd periodic "bell clang" from a brand new Peluso 22 47 SE. It was driving me nuts so I tried multiple chain combos, pres (API A2D, LA-610, Digi 002), and mics. I only got this sound when the 22 47 SE was first in the chain. Check it out:

Has anyone heard anything like this?

UPDATE:

At the suggestion of a fellow Gearslut, I contacted John Peluso at the factory. Peluso said it sounded like the tube had been damaged in shipment during our sub-zero weather and he immediately sent out two new tubes free of charge. This solved the problem and the 2247SE now sounds like the proverbial butter-slathed oak:

Now THAT'S customer service. Three cheers for Peluso.

He was great to deal with when my 2274LE showed up broken, as well! Since the repair, it's been great!
