i doubt it!

After checking out some old topics...i found a topic about the SSL 383.
Fletcher once said that he kinda liked the SSL 383...well me myself own one as well, and i like it very much...even the preamp does sounds nice.
I Also own the Avalon 737 which i doubt about keeping it....it's hard to choose the one i should mainly be using as a preamp!
I only use the Avalon for mic preamp...don't really like the compressor on it..i mean it's nice ..but not fat enough..
So now i'm thinking getting a pair distressors and it was already on my wish list.
What do you think guyz ...good move or wrong move!!
I've been checking out the preamps...from Tanner...and also the great river..but i think Europe ain't selling non of these brands right?
