Help me pic my next mic...

I need a new vocal mic. My mic closet (or atleast, that's what i tell myself it is) so far consists of:

2 sm 57s
3 sm 58s
2 e609 (one silver, one black)
1 Studio Projects C1
1 Studio Projects B1
2 Audix D2s
1 Audix D1
1 Audix D4
2 Audix ADX-50s

So I'm thiking a new LDC? The C1 sounds REALLY harsh on the highs to me... very brittle. I know this is supposed to be some sort of pressence boost, but it really sounds more like a suck boost to me; as it's very grainy and harsh sounding. So I want something smoother, more even harmic order.

I feel like I have a ton of dynamic mics, but have still entertained the idea of an sm7.

I've checked out the tlm 103, blue bottle, those new neumanns etc. I haven't got to try any of them, as with mics you pretty much have to just buy them (no return policy). I've been lusting for a royer 121 too... but don't know if that's fit for vox.

I get to use neumann tlm 170s at work, which I LOVE, b&ks, schoepps, etc... and it only makes me miss high end gear in my home studio. but that's out my price range.

I'm trying to get out around $500 or so, used is fine.

That would be my pick. I've said it before, but it bares repeating.... A SM-7 should be mandatory under pain of law. Best 2 to 3 hundred you'll ever spend.

Awesome. I'll hunt down an sm-7 for sure. I suppose that ought to be as regular in every mic cabinet as an sm57.

Now, I'm checking out a Gefell m930 and Soundelux U195... any pros/cons to either?
