ElectroVoice ND767A NDYM Super Cardioid Lead Vocal Microphone....

i was wondering if anyone has used this mic and if it is worth getting for a male baritone to tenor voice in either studio or live setting...i've heard of it, but haven't heard the "pudding".

In the studio it could work very well, for the right voice - very full from top to bottom.

However live, in my experience, it can be great with a very nice well-tuned system in a nice room but hell through lesser systems in lesser rooms. Although that can be said for nearly any mic of course. It can have a lot of bottom in the 100-300 hz range that I end up killing in some venues. If a venue is very "wet" & boomy & very live sounding, I don't like those mics - rather go back to the 58. I do like the mic & would recommend getting one, but if it isn't working easily through the system, switch to a diff mic & you may have better luck (which again could be said for any mic/singer/venue of course)

On the topic of EV's live NDYM's, for a LOUD rock/metal type band with stupid high stage volumes a 967 can be very helpful at times - especially in monitors. Flat top instead of round one to the mic's windscreen which can allow the singer to get very close to the diaphragm & therefore give much stronger output & better control through monitors. And although I bet they are the same diaphragm, I usually like the sound of the 967 over the 767 too. Weird.....
