Thread Starter | From laptop to console ? Hi, new here, my question is: I want to use Reason on a live performance, so I need to take the sound from my laptop to the console (I don't have an external sound card) so I thought I should use a Y cable 1/8" TRS male to two 1/4" male. Right ? Next should I put the two 1/4" into DIs and from there to the console Mic In ? Thanks in adavnce for answering ![]() |

| I would pick up a cheap USB soundcard for $100 or so. Not only would you have near-impossible latencies to effectively play live with your native card, the sound out of your laptop's headphone jack would be pretty piss-poor. Once you get an external card you would run 1/4s to your mixer. |

Thread Starter | Okay, thanks a lot for the tip. That's what I feared would happen. I already have an M-BOX 2 on my mac so I could just use this one on the laptop (wich is wondows xp) ? ![]() |
