Thread Starter | Lies, damn lies and .....POLLS! (Jules and moderators please read)
Greets Slutdom. I was tootling around Harmony Central a while back and they have a couple of very useful stickies on what is commonly recommended gear at various price brackets: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/...hreadid=227171 The cogs turned (slowly) and I thought it might be useful to add something like that to the High End forum here at GS. We have polls now and again ('name your favorite 3 EQs', 'desert island compressor etc.'), but would it be useful to run a series of polls on those areas most commonly asked about here? Of course it's allways risky / easily flambé'd asking 'what's the best....' of anything, but if we run polls at a detailed enough level e.g. 'most popular Hip Hop mic', 'most popular snare mic', 'most popular harmonium compressor ' etc. etc. at various price brackets, we could get some good averages. What do you think? It would be a reasonable amount of effort to get it going, but if a few of us (or the moderators) are willing to help it could work. Or am I still drunk?

I'm new to this forum and have naively asked some of those annoying "what's the best" questions. I think this is a great idea. The threads already out there that use this approach have been really helpful. I just couldn't find them right off the bat.
