I have the Radioshack SPL meter, could someone help me use it? :-)

I've had the radioshack meter for awhile. I wanted to use Room EQ Wizard with it and see where my nulls are in my room. My bass is really weak in my finished attic/room. Early reflections aren't bad because of the slant of the walls/ceiling. I just really wanted to start by placing bass traps. If someone could give me a step by step process of using my spl meter with REW that would be amazing. Thank you

Is it an analog meter? Or digital? if it's analog I would not know. If it's digital. I have one . Have used it for years. Set on range. Like 90, or 100. Thats it. i don't mess with the speed much. Use it at 3 feet 6 feet 10 feet. I usually put mine on a stand.

yeah it's digital. I just don't know how to get the results in Room EQ Wizard. I want to see a graph so I can see what frequencies need work

Maybe these will help:

All About SPL Meters
Using ETF

The second article explains how I use ETF, but the principles apply to all such programs including REW. I use REW all the time, so feel free to ask specific questions here (or in one of the acoustics sections) and I'll be glad to help. The main problem I see is audiophiles not understanding how to connect the microphone (SPL meter in this case) properly to their sound card. But since you already know how to record stuff, I assume that's not a problem for you.
