Need Boston Sax player - paid studio gig Saturday

The guy we were going to use fell through. Need a replacement. Looking for Soprano preferably, but could get by with alto if need be. Probably best if the player could bring both. Saturday late-afternoon/early evening gig, recording one song, pretty easy background ad-lib stuff, some interplay with guitar solo, pop/rock reggae style. We're about an hour northwest of Boston. Any suggestions?

So many people say they want to make a living in the music business, but sometimes I have the hardest time finding people to give money to! Any help out there?

Thanks!

Hey Jay,

Kind of wierd...n'est-ce pas?

You could try reaching Tiger Okoshi (world class trumpeter and teacher) at Berklee and ask him to give you the name of the best sax student over there.

Good luck!

Thanks for the thought.

Calling Berklee is definitely my backup plan. It's almost time...

I've literally booked Bob Gay on hundreds of gigs, he's the real deal. He has worked with Bowie, Chaka Khan, Arif Mardin, etc. Another amazing sax player in town is Elan Trotman. Elan Trotman - ET Musik
