| Sennheiser 614 mic as OHs or AC Git? I read much about KM 184s, KM84s, and M300s but I 've never seen a thread discussing the 614s. How do they compare with the mics listed above? What are their overall qualities? Strentghs and weaknesses?

|  I know this is a very old tread, but i just loaned a pair of 614's from a friend to try them out in my little project studio. he uses them all the time as OH's for live (outside) drum performances, but he also swears by them for studio work. I am gonna try them both on OH and acoustic guitar this weekend, i'll keep you guys informed!

| I use my 614s to do stereo acoustic and they sound just outstanding. I can't say enough good things about them. I have used them through an RNP, two Grace 101's, Mackie Onyx pres, and BLA modded MOTU 828 and Digi 002. Honestly, they sound spectacular on every setup I have tried. Clearly I am a big fan.
