| Gearslutz.com admin | Star Wars & the film worlds version of Auto Tune & Voc Align
Someone told me that George Lucas (who LOVES technology) has been telling actors that fluf lines something like this.. GL - dont worry we can fix that! Actor - but I said the wrong words my lips will be moving wrong if we dubb it later! GL - dont worry in post production - we can make your lips move to match the dubbed line! Actor - (standing with mouth open) GL - (claps hand) OK! Next sceen!

George Lucas should have stopped directing the Star War films a long time ago and let someone else step in. It's not like the first three were Oscar material acting-wise, but he hasn't gotten a passable performance from his actors in any of the prequels. Lucas seems to forget about a compelling story and inspired performances and instead focuses on action and effects.

mmm, I thought he only directed "A new hope", and this one, which is not bad, for a Starwars movie. I like "The empire strikes back" most (also guest director). for obvious reasons... |
