| Gear nut | URS Saturation over the buss
Hey, Has anyone tried the URS saturation plug across the two buss? A number of people are speculation that some of the magic of the summing mixers is from the transformers, e.g. with the neve 8816. Today I loaded the Vintage King summing shootout into my DAW and tried the URS saturation demo across the protools 2-buss to see if I could emulate the neve 8816 or the chandler, which I like. Could I replicate it exactly? No, but with the motor city plug, I ould get a lot of the tone and seemingly depth of the summing mixers. Has anyone else tried this? Any thoughts? |

PS, I find it works way better as a virtual tape deck on the bus than the Massey tape head plug. Much more subtle, and retains the highs better. | |
