Thread Starter | The perfect small and cheap mixer...
Hello! The search for the above have come down to a few candidates. So, i will never use the preamps on the mixer; the quality of these is not important. The EQ is pretty important and a lot of auxs is really important as i use a lot of outboard efx. But the most important thing for me is that the mixer should be super transparent. You see, i hate coloration of my signal. I'm looking for a super clean sound, good analog headroom etc. The mixbuss should sound sweet and wide, not blurry (as on the Toft ATB for example). Will any of these consoles below fullfill my needs? I know they are all cheap mixers, and none will sound like a Neve. But who do you think (know) is the most clean sounding. MACKIE ONYX 1640 - Svensk International Cyberstore ALLEN&HEATH ZED-420 - Svensk International Cyberstore ALLEN&HEATH WZ16:2³DX - Svensk International Cyberstore Or must i throw more money on the problem to get a clean and uncolored mixer? Best regards. |
