| Lives for gear | Starter tape deck, what to look for?
Looking at my first pro reel-to-reel deck. After checking eBay, now am getting more questions than answers. Need something for high quality playback of 1/4" tape Also for use as a mixdown deck Maybe will do some tracking, but don't need more than 4 tracks. Would like balanced i/o, either TRS or XLR ins and outs 3 3/4, 7.5 and 15 ips Looking at Revox, Otari. Price range used (and refurbished), in $500 to $1000 price range. Any suggestions as to brands/models to look for, or avoid?
