Thread Starter | NEUMANN M149 users - question about the shock mount
Hey guys, Any of you got an M149 mic? I have one and the elastic band on the shock mount is really loose now, and it doesn't stay properly attached (in the "hooks" of the shock mount). Anyone know if I can simply replace the elastic? Or do I need to buy a whole new shock mount? How do I go about this? and where can I find the parts? I tried to research the Neumann website, but for some reason, I couldn't find much. Thanks for any suggestions.... |

I'm having the exact same problem in a studio I work in. It's ridiculous considering the price of the thing. Elastic bands. I like the mike though. |

I would just go the a haberdashery's and get a length of similar elastic and make up a new one!

It's GOTTA be the real Newmann one... otherwise it's just not the same... |

I suggest you try Thomann (Thomann Cyberstore). We had them send out half a dozen replacement elastic cords for Neumann shock mounts in August this year.

I was half joking but since you mention it, I probably will sort it out properly. Thanks. |

Thanks guys.. umm.. I'll check out the cyberstore you suggested... Do you guys know the actual part number (just the elastic band)? I only see the part number for the entire shock mount. Thanks again... |

Hey John, I have the silver looking shock mount (I assume that's the satin nickel?). Thanks for providing me with the parts number. I appreciate it. So... the Thomann Cyberstore is definitely the way to go for ordering? (if it makes any difference, I'm located in Los Angeles, CA). |
