Hi everybody! For vocals,what your opinion? |

Completely different mics. GT K47 has more air, and sounds a lot more expansive in terms of soundscape (left right space). It also takes a lot less input before saturating the input of the mic preamp, i.e. the GT is a lot more sensitive so better for quieter sources. I'd use the FET47 (you are talking about the FET version, it doesn't actually have a "U" in front of the name, and a U47 is a tube mic?) for bass amps, screamy or more forward vocals, guitar room mic, kick drum. I'd use the K47 GT on most vocals, acoustic guitar, maybe overheads or FOK. Both great mics to have in the locker since they are complementary to each other.
