hi, I have a Quadeight preamp and a +/- 28V Psu to connect it to. The PSU just has just + and - connections, but the pre has a European style mains lead with live, neutral and earth. Where does the earth connect on the PSU? cheers, Giles |

Something isn't right here. Generally external power supplies provide both V+ (pos.) and V- (neg.) power PLUS nuetral which also GND. Most devices that require an external supply also want the same. Live, nuetral and earth sounds like a regular AC mains input. Are you sure that the unit even needs an external power supply? I'd have to see what you have to know exactly what is up. It is possible that everything is there, but not labeled exactly like what you want to see. |

the input has 3 connections including Gnd. There are two outputs, each of which has just + and - Previously I had the pre connected to another simialr PSU but had to take them off because I had an EQ connected to the same PSU and separated them so i could sell the EQ. Would the Gnd work for both the input and output? Or is that madness?! |
