Buy bunch of stuff or buy just Aurora

After too much reading I've come to this. Want the ability to do minimally mid-level quality drum recording and also higher quality 2 channel recording.

Purchase A =$1850
Focusrite Saffire PRO 26 $650 Drums
Black Lion Audio Sparrow $650
Grace Design m101 $550

and after widdling it down to the above I'm almost back up in price to the Lynx

Purchase B=$1995.95
Lynx Aurora 8

Benefits and opinions on either purchase???

Thanks

That's almost an apples to oranges comparison as the setup A gives you conversion, soundcard and preamps and setup B gives you conversion only, you still need to get the Aurora 8 into the computer via a Lynx card (either LSlot or an AES soundcard in the computer) and you need preamps.
For the budget minded A is the way to go. That said I love my Aurora 8, but once you factor in my preamps and the LSlot card and my RME soundcard, I'm more in the range of $5500.

Apparently I didn't research the Lynx 8 enough. I guess I though it was a preamp also...which now seem silly. Thanks. I guess I still go down the route of Option A.

Your price is way off too. I paid 1600.00 for my Lynx Aurora new, of which I sold later and bought an Aurora 16.

I haven't gotten to the price comparison part yet. Still learning what gears out there. Just use the first price that came up in a Goggle search.
