That is one hot red leather couch!

Really nice room Tony, really well balanced in a spacial sense given the size, and the balance between the wood and fabric. Nice job/

Incredible.

Congratulations! Most folks take a lot of time to realize how much of a studio's design is the space, the organization, and the placement of things.. being just as important as the gear itself.

I have "plans" for my room, and I keep feeling that things are just not "complete" until I can see my vision completed. No gear upgrades planned for my studio this time.. only organization and proper furniture. It does go a hell of a long way.

Congrats on the amazing space you have in your home! Just out of curiousity, how much do you have invested in the conversion of your garage? Ofcourse, not including all the great gear you have!

That looks really nice Tony!
I wish I could get mine there.
I will, but it takes time and CASH.
Re-building my MCI 538C is eating room trim out money.
The results of re-building it are spectacular though, so I'm happy.
Still, my room sounds OK... concrete floors for now with carpet.

Yes, the Westlake BBSM10s do sound good.
Probably my favorite small monitors.
I have big old goofy UREI 809s with White EQs and my ancient JBL 4401s.

Your room inspires me to get busy with mine!

The room cost about $35,000 to do the buildout.
I started in 1999 and it took me about a year, because I did it a little at a time cash.

The most expensive items were the doors (parts & labor $1000 per door) and the air conditioner (2.5 ton unit, about $3,500). The rest was just regular materials and expenses.

The floors float from the walls and the walls float from the ceiling.
The whole studio is double walled so I could build trapping into the walls.
The thing I'm most proud of is the room sounds great.
I've had a number of people over the stdio and almost all of them comment on how good the room sounds.

Eddie Kramer came over a few months ago and said, "Ya know this room sounds really good!"
Because I designed and built the room (one stick of wood at a time), I was able to hear day by day, what the room was going to sound like.

During construction I kept my NS 10's in the room and played back music EVERY NIGHT!

I believe Mix Magazine is doing an article in November and they will show all of the buildout over the period of a year.
