KRK rokit g2....cosmetic upgrade??

Are these g2 series merely a cosmetic upgrade? I mean, I understand the logic in reducing diffraction by rounding off the edges etc but has anyone compared the original with the new?

Are they a "better" speaker, or an alternative. Reason I'm asking is I have the originals, and I'm a self confessed gearslut so things like this irritate me. I want want want....

In addition to the rounded front baffle, the G2s have a slightly redesigned speaker, and have been revoiced for better low end response across all the models.

Most owners of the original Rockits agree the G2s sound a bit better, but it's a matter of opinion.

hello all gearslutz,
i was comparing RP5 G1 with G2 and RP6 G2 with G1 in shop and in both situations G2 were "warmer" in my opinion, and G1 were more raw.
For sure they sounds different.
I chose RP6 G2. U have to check for yourself.

I have v6's and if I was looking for new monitors I would be listening to Adams or Dynaudio. Sorry KRKsys. I appreciate your designs and efforts. BTW both my v6 monitors are on the fritz with in and out buzz and would cost more to repair than they are worth according to your support guy.

I am planning to buy these..

how do you guys connect your speakers to the computer? I was thinking of the RCA cables... i do do production.. opinions.. suggestions?
