Yep, it's a lovely morning here... and it's gonna go all scorchy steamy by noon.

Sure beats Winter, IMHO!

Goodmorning All! ...

Here's a picture of our little valley ...

It was taken in April, so the summer hills are tan now ...

But still lovely ...

Very True.

The woman and I were fine, it was the dog who didn't make it. He started pulling me along, and me having to hold him back in this crowd of humanity. Though he's only a 13" beagle, he's a stout little SOB and can pull Mrs. G all over. About the halfway mark he started to calm down a little. We kept giving him water, too. Within sight of the end we stopped for a drink but he just flaked out on the ground panting like mad. Had me scared for a while. I stayed with him and sent the missus for the truck. By the time she got there, he was up again, but is sound asleep now. Whew!

I'm pleased to report that you've put us well over the $1000 mark, and you've scored yourself some ZenPro credit.

Thanks so much for all that you do, Aman!

I've received quite a few very cool PMs regarding the SM57/Mogami cable/mic stand giveaway in honor of Strange Angel's birthday.

(Decided to go with the ol' draw-a-name-from-the-hat method....)

Thank you so much Rawbe and Warren!

I don't really need anything, so I'll be using it to give something to a friend that had his studio flooded. Not in Nashville though, but unfortunate still. Good guy that works very hard and came home to a flooded studio that he hand built from the ground up. Why do I feel like he deserves it? Because he works 12 hour days with his hands and then comes home beat up and still finds time to make music.

That was exactly my story for 12 long and almost unbearable years, until I finally found the way and the strength to quit one of my two day jobs. Now I am not only having more time to do music, but to enjoy a little bit more of that thing people used to call "Life" for the past 12 years, and I was almost unaware of.

Oh... and I'm also building my new studio, in the Venezuelan mainland plains, from the ground up. Let's see how it develops! Greets to you all!

Congratulations Engine!

YO RBZ! That is a SWEET Electrodyne 501 preamp I see there! How do you like the sounds? How do you feel it compares to a API 512c?

Love the 501! Thick, rich, and so smoooooth. I find the weight and authority it lends the low mids to be really satisfying. Never have used a 512c, so I can't say how it compares.

I'm definitely looking forward to checking out the 511, too...
