Giveslutz @ Church

I mentioned a few months ago that my church was thinking about having a "giveslutz" style bulletin board. Well, we've finally gotten around to making it happen and are introducing it this Sunday. I'm stoked to see how it will turn out. I'll get some pictures up soon, but we'll basically have a side of it with cards saying "I have..." and a side with cards saying "I need..." the cards will have contact info, and if anyone needs the item/service being offered or can fulfill someone's need, they can take the card home and call the person who wrote it. I'm stoked to see how this turns out!

Thanks guys for being so awesome!

I am down to one preamp, a microphone, and a sound card. I have decided to go in the box for now. I have sold off most of my stuff to pay bills and live etc. Here's what is really cool though...I sound so much better...I'll post in a few days.
I will more than likely be sending out the wrist bands in the next few days. Please send your shipping addresses and I will let you know if I need some help with shipping costs.
I am going to put my mackie up for sale. I have never been without some sort of fader setup so this is going to be weird for me for a little bit. I eventually will buy a new nice desk...maybe Zed R24?
Who knows...maybe an old vintage thing. Good things are coming my way soon.

PEACE!

First post in this here "free stuff..." thread! It's definitely the toughest thread on the block.... look at those quads (and page count)!

Anyway, I'm not a 'mega-producer', I don't have any 'bad ass' outboard gear to offer but I do have a few simple things. Been playing drums for years so I've amassed so much stuff my rehearsal studio and garage are pools of random gear.

Here goes:
Peavey T-300 column speaker
((http://www.mercatinomusicale.com/allegati/1310147.jpg))
Tons of "barely used" drum heads from 10" to 14".
22" EMAD & SuperkickII kick drum heads.
Random Zildjian cymbals, not too sure what/how many quite yet.
A few Digitech effects pedals, again, not too sure which ones.
And I believe a Boss chromatic tuner

The Peavey doesn't work, but I've been told it's an easy problem to fix a few years ago. It's been sitting around for a while without any use. Dusted off and what not, and the housing is really sturdy.

Let me know what's up. If you want to trade for what ever reason, I'll take anything! Wewt.

Peace & aliens

Anyone have any recommendations for a mic boom stand? I need the boom to go at least 60" I also need it to be around, preferably under, $100.00. There are a few on ebay that look like they could work...just not sure.

Your help is appreciated.

Hey Rubix!

I'm a recent "joiner-upper" to this thread,,, it's pretty amazing huh? So much good will out there!

I was wondering about your boss tuner --- is it in pedal form ---- i.e. -- a Boss TU-2? If so, I could really use it --- after years of multi-effects boards, I'm finally trying to build a good pedalboard again, which is a little difficult atm given that I'm pretty broke -- have resorted to building my own pedals actually! So yeah, if it is a TU-2 you have, it would be most useful (as apart from being a great tuner, it can act as a power supply).

Oh yeah, and I'd be interested to know which Digitech pedals you've got lyin around too -- may be able to put one to use.....

When I get a little more cash, I'm gonna try and build a pedal or two to give away here, so keep your eye out for that....

Cheers!

Thought I'd tell my little story to the people that would appreciate it most.

This morning when I came into work, I waved at one of my neighbours as she was pulling out. She was obviously on a bank run with one of those little canvas bags. When I got out I noticed that she had dropped a few envelopes on the ground.

I picked them up and they were filled with a few grand in cash. Knowing the panic she would feel when she got to the bank and found the money missing, I could still see her sitting at the light so I hopped in my car and chased her down.

It was rather amusing actually as I came up behind her, honked my horn to get her to pull over. While she recognizes me in the parking lot, on the road she must have thought I was trying to kidnap her.

I started waving envelopes of money around, and after a while for her to process she pulled over and gave me a big hug.

It was a good way to start the day

I wanted to take a quick minute and thank you all once again.
I have had a couple offers for mixers from here and I want to tell you how much your messages makes my heart sing! (that may sound a little old and corny but if it does it fits me well lol)

I wasn't planning on selling the mackie; in spite of the fact that I am strapped for cash.
What happened is I recently found out that what I was hearing through my monitors wasn't even coming close to what the real world was hearing. My audio sounded like I was wearing a halloween mask.
I tried running the speakers direct to the sound card and then listened to all the stuff I had been sending out...man was I embarassed. Then I decided I would try going straight out of the card and another veil was lifted. It's like a whole new world for me now. Just this morning I got an email from a potential client telling me that they love my voice and will be getting back to me soon. That has not happened before.
I can't wait to get my demos all re-done and let you guys hear.

Anyway I am rambling here but thanks to all of you for being here and being the people that you are. I love you all.

PEACE
